Bauphal is located at . It contains 50,755 households and has a total area of 486.91 km².

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Bauphal had a population of 288,825. Males constitute 50.09% of the population, with females making up 49.91%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 139575. Bauphal has an average literacy rate of 37.9% (7+ years), with the national average being 32.4%.[1]
